Who we are
We are hashrepos.com, the developers of an Ethereum based smart contract for registering digital assets.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
As with any crypto-based distributed application, your privacy is of utmost importance and as such, no personal data is collected other than the Ethereum address you use to purchase tokens and to register your hash.
Purchasing Tokens
When you purchase our utility token, you will obviously have to provide an address to claim ownership of the token. This address is a public address in the sense that you have to reveal it in order send and receive tokens. The public address is also recorded to identify the registrant of the hash.
However the identity of the owner and the private keys used to generate the public addresses is never asked for, never recorded and never known by HashRepos.
Your anonymity is fully protected in as far your Ethereum private keys and public addresses are concerned and the diligence you apply to keep them protected.
Media
Although digital assets include photos and images, which may include embedded location data (EXIF GPS), no photos, images or any digital asset files are ever saved by hashrepos.com nor stored in any means or form on the HashRepos smart contract. Only the irreversible hash digest of the file is recorded on the blockchain.
Contact forms
We maintain a contact form in the event that you wish to contact us. It is not our intention to retain your email address except to reply to your query. If you wish to remain fully anonymous, please use a ‘throwaway’ email account for any correspondence with us.
Cookies
We do not require cookies when you use hashrepos.com. However, cookies may be inadvertently recorded by plugins used on the website. If you wish to prevent cookies from being recorded, you may disable the cookie setting on your browser.
IP Addresses
It is not our intention to record or use IP addresses of any user of this site. However, IP addresses may be recorded in log files for performance and debugging issues. You may request for your IP address to be scanned and removed from our system. For full protection, you may want to consider using a VPN proxy or TOR network.
GDPR and other regulatory compliance
GDPR is a regulation that requires businesses to protect the personal data and privacy of EU citizens for transactions that occur within EU member states. Other countries have their own similar versions of GDPR.
As proponents of a blockchain and smart contract technologies, we fully advocate privacy and security throughout out system.
However, we believe in being ‘trustless’ as in eliminating the need to trust in a central authority for your privacy and protection, but where the trust is provided by peer reviewed open sourced code and the inviolable cryptographical mathematics used in the blockchain.
We will however respect and comply with the legal requirements of localised authorities where applicable.
